Reality in 2024: ~600,000 pax/day on a degraded fleet (about 40 of 73 coaches working). Peak crush density reaches 8 pax/m² — double the Fruin maximum of 4. Doors fail to close on the first try; 3-minute headways stretch toward 6.

The breakdown cascade

One train goes down, the next one packs double, dwell time at Ortigas blows past 5 minutes, the train behind catches up, and the whole line stalls.

This is queueing theory: capacity-constrained systems behave non-linearly near saturation. A 5% drop in fleet can mean a 30% slower line.
